California Bans Travel To Five Red States, Alleges “Discrimination” Against LGBTQ

The state of California took a page out of Communist China’s playbook and banned state employee travel to five more states. The Democrat attorney general of California announced that state-funded travel is no longer allowed to Montana, Florida, North Dakota, Arkansas, and West Virginia, due to their alleged anti-LGBTQ laws.

According to the Associated Press, California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta stated that California will not support any bigotry and discrimination in this country; they found it perfectly fine to ban state employees from traveling to certain states that are considered red states.

The five Republican states made laws that won’t allow biological males that identify as transgender to compete in woman’s sports. Many women were happy about the state’s decision to keep the competition fair, but California decided that the laws were rather discriminatory against the LGBTQ community.

This Isn’t The First Time

In 2016 lawmakers banned state funded travel to 12 others states which include Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, Kansas, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, Iowa, South Dakota, and Idaho.

The far-left state has banned all state travel to these red states under California’s Assembly Bill 1887, which allows its spending to match its values. So, it’s apparent that the far-left values of California are a lot different than our Founding Fathers’ values

California Now Resembling Communist Governments When It Comes To Freedom Of Movement

In Communist China, most citizens of the mainland aren’t allowed to travel to regions of Hong Kong and Macau. Even in the days of Mao Tse Tung, migrant workers living in the rural areas weren’t allowed to freely move to the urban developed regions, due to Mao’s fear of a revolt arising among the rural people.

The Soviet Union also limited its population to move freely due to fear of a revolt. Many families were separated for years or never saw each other again, due to the authoritarian rule of Stalin.

In modern-day North Korea, only privileged government staff members can freely travel outside of the country and have access to some areas within Korea that are forbidden to the average citizen.

California isn’t limiting their residents from traveling to other states, as of right now; however, they are setting up a precedent that could eventually ban their residents from traveling to certain states that don’t have the same views as them.

It might sound crazy, but it’s not out of reach for the radical left leadership that’s now in power to continue making subtle changes that lead to the big change.

Many residents of California are fed up with the authoritarian rule of California and are leaving in droves. The large number of people leaving even caused the state to lose a seat in the House, due to the 2020 census finding there was a decrease in population in the state.

It appears some people are leaving the state while they still can!
