Confirmed: Former DEA Informant Arrested For Assassination Of Haiti’s President

A DEA official publicly confirmed that one of the Haitian American men arrested for the assassination of Haiti’s President Jovenel Moise was actually a former DEA informant.

Hours after Haiti’s president got murdered, 26 Colombians and two Haitian Americans were arrested for the assassination.

The two American suspects are Joseph Vincent, 55, and James Solages, 35; however, the DEA didn’t specify which American was an informant for the DEA.

The Associated Press reported that the United States Drug Enforcement Administration released an official statement that says one of the American suspects arrested was a “confidential source for the DEA”.

The statement also declared that the former DEA informant called the DEA and sought help. The DEA, in return, just urged the suspect to turn himself into local authorities. According to DEA officials, the suspect was not an active informant.

A Video of the Assassination Suspects Show Them Yelling “DEA Operation”

On July 7th, in the early hours of the morning, a video was captured of the suspects; the footage revealed that some of the suspects were yelling “DEA Operation, Stand Down”.

At first, many people thought the video was some sort of hoax, but after the DEA’s most recent statement it really makes you think.

A report by CNN shows some of the suspects of the assassination were FBI informants too. The FBI didn’t confirm CNN’s statement, but rather said they don’t reveal their informants.

Another Man with U.S. Ties is Arrested for the Assassination of Haiti’s President

The alleged mastermind behind the operation was arrested on Monday. Christian Emmanuel Sanon, 63, was arrested for allegedly planning out the murder of Jovenel Moise.

Authorities from Haiti have declared that Sanon arrived in Haiti in June and hired a Florida-based security company CTU Security.

Initially, CTU Security was used for his own protection; although, it appears their plan quickly changed and the new plan was to take out President Moise and replace him with Christian Emmanuel Sanon.

Authorities in Haiti also reported that two Colombians killed in a shootout were also linked to CTU Security and hired by Sanon.

Although CTU security is based in Florida, it’s owned by a Venezuelan National. So, as of right now, authorities are trying to untangle the web of connections.

Background of Christian Emmanuel Sanon

Christian Emmanuel Sanon is reportedly a doctor, pastor, and businessman. A source close to Sanon said Christian was approached by men portraying themselves as representatives from the U.S. State and Justice Departments; Sanon was reportedly also asked by the same men to be the next president of Haiti.

A pastor who was close to Christian said the plan was for President Moise to be arrested; the motive was never to kill him.

The pastor also explained he believed Christian was duped into thinking that the U.S. government was really backing the operation but, in reality, someone else was pulling the strings.
