Dr. Fauci Could Be Going To Jail and Here’s Why

Dr. Fauci’s latest Senate hearing started off with a stern warning from Senator Rand Paul. Sen. Rand Paul kicked off the Senate hearing by telling Fauci that lying to Congress could result in a five-year prison sentence.

According to the Washington Examiner, Paul then went on to ask Fauci if he would like to retract his previous statements in front of the last Senate hearing; in these statements, Fauci denied that the NIH didn’t fund any gain of function research at the Wuhan Lab in China.

After Paul’s question, however, Fauci proceeded to deny that the NIH ever funded gain of function research. This resulted in a fiery debate that made nationwide headlines and marked another chapter in the Rand vs. Fauci feud.

Sen. Rand Paul Will File a Criminal Referral About Fauci to the DOJ

After the Senate hearing, Senator Rand Paul was giving an interview on Fox News with Sean Hannity; during the senator’s interview, he announced that he would be writing a criminal referral about Fauci to the Department of Justice.

The crime that Senator Paul believes that Fauci committed was that Fauci knew that the NIH funded Eco Health Alliance, which then gave close to $600,000 to the Wuhan Lab for gain of function research.

Paul went on to tell Hannity that he knows dozens of scientists that will line up and say that the research that the NIH (National Institutes of Health) funded was definitely gain of function research.

How Do Criminal Referrals Work?

A criminal referral is a notification to prosecutors that recommends that a criminal investigation should be launched into an individual or organization. As a member of Congress, Senator Paul is able to make a direct referral of crimes to the Department of Justice.

The big question is whether or not the criminal referral made by Senator Rand Paul will go anywhere. The Department of Justice has been notorious for letting high profile people get off easy if they’re well connected to the Democrats, though.

Just look at Hunter Biden’s laptop investigation. The Department of Justice has refused to even give a proper investigation into the contents of the laptop which reveals illegal lobbying done by Hunter Biden and possible criminal evidence on Joe Biden too.

The Department of Justice also conveniently attempted to cover up pedophile Jeffery Epstein’s 2007 “Sweetheart Deal” in Florida; the Justice Department offered no punishments to federals prosecutors in Florida who took it easy on Epstein.

Will Fauci Go To Prison?

Lying to Congress can be classified as perjury and could result in a felony and up to five years in prison. The reality is with the Biden regime in charge, there is a slim chance Fauci will go to prison.

If the Department of Justice does decide to investigate Fauci’s statements in the Senate, he will probably just hide behind the fact that the NIH-funded Eco-Health alliance then funneled money to the Wuhan Lab. If Fauci was a Trump supporter, we all know the Department of Justice would’ve investigated him months ago.
