All Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee wrote a letter to Biden. In this letter, they denounced Biden’s will to give $450,000 to illegal immigrants who were allegedly victims of the “zero tolerance” policy under the Trump administration.
Biden encouraging human smugglers, cartels at the US-Mexico border
GOP senators scolded Biden in the letter, saying the administration already made the border crisis worse this year, as they enumerated a series of decisions the administration made to fuel the fire.
Included among them were the halting of border wall construction, termination of Trump’s landmark “Remain in Mexico” policy, weakening the enforcement of Title 42, and supporting sanctuary jurisdictions, which has undermined border policy and national security.
GOP senators likewise noted these soft-hearted policies by the president also resulted in the unprecedented spike of illegal immigrants at the US southern border. This is likely to intensify in the future after the announcement of the half-million-dollar incentives.

Appreciating the Trump-era policies, Republican senators said policies of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are enough to tackle the separated families lawfully, and there is no need to reward illegal immigrants so highly.
The letter schooled Biden that these people disrespected US laws and insulted those who are seeking legal ways to enter America. In addition to this, the GOP lawmakers also emphasized Biden’s decision to give illegal immigrants money would only encourage smugglers who put children at risk of getting injured or even dying.
This will further help the cartels to bring more children to the US unlawfully by putting them through emotional and physical turmoil.
Sens. John Kennedy, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton, Marsha Blackburn, John Cornyn, Chuck Grassley, Thom Tillis, Mike Lee, Lindsey Graham, and Ben Sasse are among the signatories of the letter.
Republicans Warned Biden Against Issuing Money to Illegal Immigrants
The letter advised Biden against paying illegal immigrants, which will make matters worse for the country.
Republicans concluded by praising Americans who always welcome legal immigrants from diverse backgrounds. The GOP mentioned the very same immigrants have made the American dream possible by seeking lawful avenues of growth.

Human smuggling is not a new issue at the US southern border. Time and time again, unattended children are seen at the borders, brought to the country by smugglers.
However, if Biden continues with the anticipated payments, he would encourage the smugglers even further by making a statement the US will tolerate every illegal person in the country.
This is not the first time the inefficiency of the Biden administration paved the way for illegal immigrants. The DHS, under Biden, fails repeatedly to counter the massive flow of immigrants at the US-Mexico border.
The most recent example is the mishandling of Haitian immigrants, which raised concerns among human rights stakeholders.
