U.S. Navy Names Ship After Gay Rights Leader

A U.S. Navy ship was just named after gay rights leader Harvey Milk, who was the first openly gay person to hold political office in the state of California.

The new ship that now bears the name USNS Harvey Milk is over 742 feet long and was launched in San Diego, California. The ship will serve as an oil carrier and is the second of a new fleet that has been launched by the U.S. Navy.

According to NPR, Harvey Milk served in the U.S. Navy between 1951-1955 and was discharged for being gay. After facing his dishonorable discharge, Milk went on to get involved in politics and became part of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

One year after being elected, he was assassinated by the former Board Supervisors. Milk is celebrated by liberals as a hero for the LGBTQ community; however, some conservative voices believe Milk preyed on younger boys.

Matt Barber in 2004 (while the host of the Liberty Counsel) stated Milk, at the age of 30, would prey on boys as young as 15 years old.

U.S. Military is More Focused on Woke Talking Points Than Actual Military Strategy

When Afghanistan was taken over by the Taliban, the world, along with many Americans, was shocked. As most Americans watched, totally surprised US Embassy staff were being helicoptered to safety.

However, many people weren’t shocked at all, but saw this coming. The signs were already there; the US military spent months leading up to the Afghanistan withdrawal on debating whether LGBTQ flags should be flown on bases or whether transgenders should have sex-change surgeries paid by the federal government.

That’s not all, though; the Joint Chiefs of Staff publicly argued before the Senate that soldiers need to learn about white rage and CRT. While U.S. military leaders were busy attending woke business, the Taliban was moving in on Kabul.

US Military Not as Strict as It Once Was

In 2012, the US military allowed soldiers to participate in the gay pride parades all across the country. This was a large reversal of a prior military rule that barred members from participating in pride parades while dressed in uniform.

A wife of a Navy battalion member in San Diego (earlier in the year) stated her husband was forced to go on a diversity hike where the LGBTQ flag, not the American flag, was held by hikers.

A hike with any other flag besides the American flag or Corp flag would have been forbidden in past generations, but now it’s the new norm. It won’t be long before military dog tags have woke pronouns on them or the iconic silver tags turn into a rainbow.

It is a shame what Democrats are turning this country into.
