Trump Authorizes ATTACK on Iranian Ships — Oil Route Blocked

President Trump authorized U.S. military action against Iranian vessels planting mines in the Strait of Hormuz as the maritime standoff escalates, effectively halting one of the world’s most crucial oil shipping routes. U.S. forces have redirected 33 commercial vessels since implementing a blockade against Iranian ports, while boarding tankers suspected of smuggling Iranian oil.

Blockade Intensifies Global Trade Crisis

U.S. Central Command confirmed the unprecedented scale of the operation, with dozens of ships rerouted from the critical waterway. The strait typically handles roughly one-fifth of global oil traffic, making the disruption a significant threat to international energy markets. Trump acknowledged Americans will face higher gas prices “for a little while” but defended the action as necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons capable of destroying American cities.

Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned citizens against enemy media operations targeting national unity, while Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that battlefield actions and diplomatic efforts represent coordinated fronts in the same conflict. Trump dismissed claims of Iranian unity, posting on Truth Social that internal divisions between hardliners and moderates are weakening the regime from within.

Lebanon-Israel Ceasefire Talks Move To White House

Ambassador-level negotiations between Israel and Lebanon will now take place at the White House instead of the State Department, with Trump personally greeting both representatives. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will join the discussions, which follow last week’s fragile ten-day ceasefire agreement reached during the first direct talks between the nations in decades. U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee is returning to Washington specifically for the high-stakes diplomatic session.

The ceasefire remains tenuous after Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon reportedly killed Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil on Wednesday. Meanwhile, civilians continue suffering from the broader conflict, with 400 people including 120 children sheltering in a converted school facility in Beirut after fleeing Hezbollah strongholds targeted by Israeli forces.

Trump: Clock Is Ticking For Iran

Trump posted on Truth Social that he remains the least pressured person ever to hold office, stating Iran faces mounting time pressure while America can wait indefinitely. He emphasized no deal will be made until terms favor the United States, its allies, and global stability. The president framed the confrontation as preventing a nuclear-armed Iran from threatening multiple American cities or destabilizing the entire Middle East region through catastrophic weapons deployment.
